Please read this Refund & Cancellation Policy carefully before purchasing any paid membership or service from SugatMatrimony. 

1. Free Registration:  Registration and creation of a basic matrimonial account may be provided free of charge. Free registration does not necessarily include access to premium features or paid membership benefits.

2. Paid Membership: SugatMatrimony may offer paid membership plans or other paid services.

The applicable price, duration and benefits will be displayed before payment. By completing a payment, you agree to purchase the selected membership or service.

3. Cancellation: Once a paid membership has been activated, cancellation by the member does not automatically create a right to a refund. Where cancellation is permitted, the request must be submitted through the designated customer-support channel.

4. Refunds: Membership fees are generally non-refundable once the paid service has been activated or used, except where:

- A refund is required under applicable law;

- A duplicate payment has been made;

- A payment has been successfully deducted but the corresponding membership was not activated due to a technical issue attributable to SugatMatrimony;

- SugatMatrimony specifically approves a refund after reviewing the circumstances.

Refund eligibility will be determined based on the applicable circumstances, payment records and relevant law.

5. Duplicate Payments: If you believe that you have been charged more than once for the same transaction, contact us with the transaction details. After verification, an eligible duplicate payment may be refunded through the original payment method or another appropriate method.

6. Failed Transactions:  If money has been deducted from your bank account but the membership was not activated, please contact us with:

- Registered mobile number/email

- Transaction ID

- Date of transaction

- Amount paid

- Payment screenshot, if available

We will verify the transaction and take appropriate action.

7. Profile Removal or Suspension:  Removal, suspension or restriction of a profile because of violation of our Terms & Conditions, fraudulent activity, misleading information, inappropriate conduct or misuse of the platform does not automatically entitle the member to a refund.

8. No Guarantee of Marriage Payment for a membership provides access to the applicable matrimonial services and features.

Payment does not constitute a guarantee of:

- A particular number of matches

- Responses from other members

- Meetings

- Engagement

- Marriage

- Compatibility with another member

9. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, processing time may depend on the payment gateway, bank or financial institution.
